Bifurcation and... trifurcation?

So lotsa tomato gardeners online grow a single leader up a string for their indeterminate/vine varieties and pluck off all the lateral shoots to stop any secondary vines/leaders developing.

I'm OK with that, I did it last year and for a few of my current varieties.

However, now I'm trying the option of "bifurcation"- i.e. allowing two leaders to develop so that I can get maximum use out of the vertical space up the string.

I'm also going to see how it goes with three leaders, and apparently the word trifurcation even exists! So, I'm gonna use that word, even if the spellchecker tells me it's wrong.

The results will be interesting and play a part in how I grow indeterminates in the future.
